Stop 4: The Caves Of Pech Merle, France
10% of the ancient humans went to Africa, Australia, and India, but where did the rest go? The remaining 90% would go on to become Europeans, Asians, and Native Americans. However, it took the ancient humans over 10,000 years to get to their next stop. Pech Merle, France is the fourth stop that Dr. Spencer Wells made and is the first place to ever have drawings in caves. The people that landed in Europe had changed greatly from those that were in Africa, Australia and India. The first ever people in Europe were much tougher; they were taller (more than 6ft), skinny, had a change in nose shape, and their skin color changed. Due to the climate change from Africa to Europe, specifically France (where the temperature was about 40- 50 degrees F), the skin color of the people changed, due to the need to absorb the available sunlight.
